Workshop on "UN Engagement with Regional, Sub-Regional and Functional Bodies and Civil Society in Implementing the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy”

The Government of Slovakia, with the support of the Center on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation, hosted the second meeting of the expert-driven "International Process on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation" on 17-18 March 2008 in Bratislava. That workshop brought together more than 60 experts, including representatives from some 40 governments, and addressed "UN Engagement with Regional, Sub-Regional and Functional Bodies and Civil Society in Implementing the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy."

Implementing the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in East Africa

The Center on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation and the IGAD Capacity Building Partnership Against Terrorism co-hosted a workshop on 4-5 March 2008 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with the financial support of the Government of Denmark on implementing the UN Global Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in East Africa.
